S.A.M. (Management) Inc. is a non-profit corporation established to provide management of housing for single persons, families and senior citizens. The corporation responds to unique and new housing needs, as identified by the community.
We are looking for an experienced full time Finance Administrator to join our team. This position reports directly to the Controller and handles accounts payable and receivable, provides support for budget and audit preparation and completes bookkeeping functions as assigned.
The Finance Administrator will be primarily responsible for:
General accounts payable and receivable administration
Support for budget and audit preparation:
Preparation of quarterly replacement reserve reports
Level one training in accounting procedures
2 to 3 years general bookkeeping experience
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and ethical business practices
Experience working in a non-profit setting an asset
Familiar with Spectra and Maximizer an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally
Have strong communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively with others to set goals, resolve conflicts and make decisions
Ability to organize documentation and provide reports required by the auditor
Ability to analyze data and make budget predictions
Good data entry skills
Skilled at setting priorities, developing work schedules, monitoring progress and tracking details, data, information and activities
